A One Day Workshop. An innovative combination of short performance and workshop activities designed for people concerned with developing their own resilience, and helping others to do so.
The experience is firmly grounded in Ludmila Doneman’s experience as a refugee from the Warsaw Pact invasion of her country, Czechoslovakia, in 1968, and her efforts to remake her life in faraway Australia. This is echoed and reinforced by Ella Doneman’s experience of growing up with Cerebral Palsy and related conditions. In both cases, these women found ways to manage the numerous hurdles and speed bumps thrown up by life, and can share these practical strategies.
They also happen to be mother and daughter.
The day begins with an adapted performance from Ludmila: 'I am the storyteller and the storytold' - followed by responsive and interactive workshop activities (facilitated by both Ludmila and Ella) focused on the development of real, practical strategies for building personal resilience.
